Two female solo artists have been added to the line-up for Coventry’s new two-day music festival.
Singer-songwriters Anne-Marie and Mabel will be performing at Soundscape Weekender at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday, June 16 ahead of David Guetta’s headliner set.
Anne-Marie – who rose to fame in 2016 with her chart-topping Rockabye collaboration with Sean Paul and Clean Bandit which sat at number one for nine weeks – has also landed three recent top ten hits in the UK official charts including Ciao Adios, Friends and 2002.
Her chart-topping status also saw her support Ed Sheeran on the UK leg of his European tour earlier this year.
Highly-rated Swedish singer Mabel will also be treating the Ricoh Arena crowd to singles including top 10 UK hit Finders Keepers, as well as top 40 numbers such as Ring Ring and Fine Line.
“Anne-Marie and Mabel have dominated the airwaves in recent times and are great additions to the line-up.
“They have a range of catchy tunes between them, and who knows, we may even see Anne-Marie performing alongside David Guetta for their recent collaboration Don’t Leave Me Alone.
“We still have five more current, chart-topping acts to announce for the Sunday line-up before we get round to announcing Saturday’s acts, so keep your eyes peeled.
“We’ve had thousands of people register their interest for pre-sale tickets already, and saw a spike in interest after the David Guetta announcement earlier this week.
“The high calibre of acts we’ve announced so far is just the start and there will be more of the same, so we’d urge people to get their tickets at the pre-sale price while they can.”
Justine Hewitt, Head of Operations at the Ricoh Arena, added: “Day two of Soundscape Weekender is shaping up to be a stellar day of chart music.
“We can’t wait to see who else the promoter has up their sleeve.”
Tickets are priced from as low as £49, and can be purchased by visiting www.soundscapefestival.co.uk
